Candy Birthday Cake

This one was for Cassidy, Madison, and Jaidyn's surprise birthday party. I made the buttercream with butter so it would taste better and I think that's why the fondant started to ripple a bit. Anyway it was fun to create and turned out pretty good. Skittles are around each tier. All the kids had some cake and it was yummy.

Ryley

Coral and Silver were the colors of choice. Every little touch made this cake beautiful. Notice the ribbon backdrop, the grey feather accents, and the jeweled pins on each tier.

Draped Fondant

This cake was a joy for me to create. The draping is made of fondant mixed with white modeling chocolate. It went on so well.

Ashley - This cake is so unique. The modern style with the lines pressed into the fondant is gorgeous. The darker champagne ribbon is made of fondant too. The mother of the bride placed the beautiful gardenias and jewels.
McKenzie - This one has the monogram and some scroll work,
a different piped pattern on each tier.
I love the turquoise and yellow together.

Some Summer Cakes 2010

Sam. Love the bright color fondant ribbons on this one.
And nothing around the bottom edge of each tier so they
had to be flawless. Fun cake. Who doesn't love gerbers?

Lacey. Dana, the mother of the bride, designed this beauty.
It's yellow buttercream with a tuscan texture, purple ribbon,
gray piping and fondant underlays beneath the real, yes real,
white gerber daisies. So unique and beautiful. Notice the board
under the glass - pics of bride and groom mod podged on wood. Love!

Kylie. This one is a simple graceful design.
The one-of-a-kind flower arrangement really
makes the whole cake. I love the tiny dots too.

Felicidy. This is my niece's cake.
The damask print is done with a stencil.
The fondant went on very smoothly for me.
Love it. Aren't the flowers gorgeous.
